The pool area was nice, but it felt cramped with families around.

The breakfast offered a variety of delicious foods, both western and Thai, which I enjoyed every morning.
I found the parking situation rather challenging due to the narrow street. The pool area felt a bit cramped, especially when families with children arrived. I had to leave the pool when they came in because there wasn’t enough room for me to swim laps after a long day of exploring the city.

Thapae Gate Hotel impressed me with its refreshing pool and an extensive breakfast spread. Every morning brought a delightful selection of Western and Thai dishes to choose from. The access to cold water and fresh fruit all day long was a definite highlight. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff made every effort to make us feel welcomed and at home. My room, a Deluxe Double, was not only spacious but also beautifully designed with a clean bathroom that featured great water pressure. However, the mattress could use an upgrade for better support. Additionally, the location, while charmingly secluded, posed some challenges with limited parking on nearby streets. Regardless, the convenience of the Sunday night market being just around the corner was a fantastic perk, adding to the overall appeal.

The breakfast spread was a delightful mix of Thai specialties and Western favorites, making every morning enjoyable.
The mattress in my room could use an upgrade, as it lacked the support I preferred for a comfortable sleep.

The hotel was perfectly located just 20m away from busy main roads, making it easy to explore the old town and nearby temples. The staff members were incredibly warm and always willing to help, enhancing my experience immensely.
The only downside was the limited parking situation nearby, which could be a challenge if you have a car.

The location is a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility, with the Sunday night market right at the doorstep. Breakfast offers a delightful selection that includes both local favorites and familiar Western options, like Koshihikari rice. The staff members consistently provided a warm welcome and shared helpful local tips. However, navigating the nearby streets felt challenging due to limited parking, and the pool area was quite cramped, especially during busy times with families. Still, it's a commendable spot for those in search of comfort and good service.

This was just a prime choice for a couple of nights in Chiang Mai with good price-quality ratio. The staff were friendly and helped us arrange transportation at a reasonable price to explore the city. Make sure to ask for a room with a view, it's worth it.

Perfect spot for couples
Location was really good. It’s right next to this massive Sunday night market where I could just stroll around and soak in the lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, including free coke and water in the fridge.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but I guess you pay for the quality.
